Demo saddle details:

1) A security deposit is required to hire a demo saddle. Please click on the photo of the saddle you ant to hire to view the amount. If you wish to make this payment via credit card, please visit this page. These funds will be held as security against the saddle and accessories until they are returned, with nil damage. Normal wear is expected.
2) You are responsible for the saddle until it is returned safely by REGISTERED POST. You are liable for postage both ways, Postal insurance is recommended on the return trip, if the saddle does go missing, your security deposit cannot be refunded. It is important that you assume full responsibility for the saddles condition & safe keeping during the trial period. Experience has shown that damage to saddles usually occurs when they are transported in a car. If you do need to transport the demo saddle, please do so using the box it came to you in.
3) The length of the trial is 10 days, this starts from when you receive the saddle, If you require any additional time, just reach out. If there is no one immediately waiting to trial the saddle, it should be okay.
4) Delivery charges are dependent on location. We will deduct the postage costs and demo fee ($120) from your refund once the demo saddle has been returned as per conditions stipulated above. If you wish to place an order for a new saddle, the $120 demo fee is of course waived. Credit card fees incured cannot be refunded.
5) Saddles and all accessories, must be returned in the same condition as they were received: clean and hair free. If the saddle or accessories are returned with excessive wear and tear including scratches and dents to the leather or excessive marking on girth straps or flaps and/or stirrups, a portion of your security deposit will be retained to cover this damage. If the saddle and/or accessories are returned dirty, a cleaning fee of $25 will be deducted from your refund.
6) Please do not wear denim jeans when riding in any of our demo saddles, or studded jeans or jeans with bling on the pockets. Silicone jodhpurs will damage the dressage saddle seats so please do not wear these either. Jodhpurs with suede seats are okay.
7) Please print and complete the Demo Booking Form that you can download from the Demo Saddes page. Send it to us via email dianne@hest.com.au. If the saddle is out on a demo already, you will be placed next in line. Your security deposit will not be required until the saddle is ready to be sent to you.
The EDIX Django is a fully treeless Western saddle made by hand of original Argentina cowhide leather with beautiful border tooling and refined classical appearance. Offering comfort for the rider as well as for the horse for long trail rides as well as for many other disciplines of Western riding. The twist (waist) of the seat offers a narrow, comfortable deep and secure seat. The seat is foam padded and finished with a brushed cow leather (suede). The gullet of the saddle can be adjusted by changing the exchangeable pommel. In the same style as the saddle there are Django fenders and leather covered stirrups included.
The Saddle itself consists of 2 parts: the upper part - the seating area for the rider and the lower part - the base of the saddle which is built up with separate pressure distributing layers. EDIX MPDS: multiple pressure distribution system. These soft, flexible layers adapt to the anatomy of the horse, as well as to the riders. An Edix treeless saddle optimally reacts to the movements of the horse. The complete absence of rigid load bearing parts allows the horse to move freely, especially the muscles of the horses' back and shoulders and at the same time refine the communication between you and your horse.
The Django is fitted with Edix circle-girthing system, which allows the girth tension to interact across the length of the saddle as the connections are fastened at the front and the rear of the saddle, as opposed to the middle or front of traditional Western saddles. Furthermore, the position of the girth itself can be adjusted forward or backward to suit your horse. As such, only the weight resulting from the interaction of the rider will be at the centre point of the saddle.
Edix recommend purchasing an Edix Treeless saddle pad to complete the package: the special treeless saddle pads are through their construction an addition on the pressure distributing materials of treeless saddles. The Edix pads are anatomically shaped and equipped with the correct inlays which ensure freedom of movement for the spine. If required, additional pressure and position distributing materials can be added. The position-correcting material can be added in the upper insert compartments so that you can temporarily improve a saddle position. Edix has various models of pads that fit under the Django Western Saddle. There is a choice between saddle pads with wool base (real Merino Sheepskin) or finished with a synthetic wool. All Edix pads are specially designed for the Edix treeless saddle, however they also fit under many other treeless saddle brands.
