Holistic Equine Saddlery & Tack (HEST) was originally established in 2004 as Holistic Equine Sport Therapy, by me: Dianne Pascoe. I qualified in 2004 as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist from the Australian College of Animal Tactile Therapy (ACATT).

After a few years of treating sore backed horses, I concluded that 99% of the horses I was treating had saddle fit problems and were being made sore by their saddles. I decided to find a solution to this problem rather than constantly treating the symptoms caused by ill-fitting saddles.

The Solution - offer saddles that are either adjustable or flexible or both, and educate riders on how to fit these saddles to their horses themselves!

In October 2016, I expanded my range again and became a dealer and Australian distributor for DP Saddlery LP (Deuber & Partner) The Saddlemaker. DP Saddlery have been making quality saddles for over 20 years and are highly popular in Europe and the US and now here in Australia too! These saddles are just plain INCREDIBLE! They are all fully adjustable with an Allen Wrench, so you can adjust the fit yourself as and when required. You can use the same saddle on many different horses! They have either a carbon fibre flexible tree or a highly flexible leather tree. DP make Baroque, English, Western, Icelandic, and my personal favourite, a Treeless range called Startrekk. Continuing to find that Treeless saddles are often the answer for many horse and rider combinations, I accepted an invitation in April 2019 to become a GHOST Treeless Saddle Dealer. The Italian made Ghost and Cavallin treeless saddles are truly incredible: they are pretty much a 'modular' saddle, with one base being compatible with many different seat styles. You can literally ride in a Dressage saddle in the morning and then swap out the seat for one of the fabulous trail models for an afternoon ride in the bush - using the same saddle base!
