This EDIX Western saddle pad is made of a strong cotton outer fabric and has a 10 mm synthetic felt core. There are 2 large insert pockets along the entire length and 2 x 3 small insert pockets at the top of the pad on either side of the center line. By providing the large insert pockets with inserts, the pressure distribution of the saddle is further optimised and with the top pockets you can further customise the position of your saddle.
 
Felt inserts are supplied as standard for all insert compartments, but you can optionally order other inserts. The type of inserts depends on the build of the horse, the type of saddle and/or the weight of the rider. Inserts are subject to wear and the pressure distributing capabilities of the inserts should be checked from time to time.
 
The bottom of the top of the pad, where the rider’s leg rubs while riding, has a nylon reinforcement to prevent wear.
