The EDIX ED2 Brightstar sidepull bridle is a beautiful anatomical bridle made of Argentinian leather. The bridle is designed for anyone looking for a comfortable, anatomical bridle and fits perfectly with the Brightstar collection.
Specially designed for comfort
The special headpiece ensures that the ears are pressure-free, and the jowl strap is designed to keep the cheekpieces away from the eyes. The headpiece and noseband are softly padded and oval shaped for optimal comfort. The headpiece is adjustable above the horse's head, which means that the bridle can be made specifically for each horse. The specially designed headpiece, jowl strap and cheekpieces ensure that the bridle fits stably around the horse's head. This means that the use of a browband is not necessary with this bridle.
Operation of the bridle
The EDIX ED2 is a sidepull bridle, with both reins attached to the rings on either side of the horse's head. The bridle works with a direct release of the pressure that the rider applies through the reins. When light pressure is applied to the reins with both hands, this pressure is applied directly to the horse's nose. When the pressure on the reins is released, the pressure is immediately released from the nose, which is called an instant release. This is a very clear signal and most horses work very well in a sidepull bridle. When the rider takes the right rein, the bridle comes away slightly from the cheek on the right side of the head. The other side; the left side of the bridle, presses against the left side of the head. In combination with seat and leg aids, the horse bends in the desired direction. The padded, wide noseband distributes the pressure over a larger surface area, making this a soft bridle.
